This year, more than 850 visual interpretations of the theme Still Going Strong reached the jury of Weltformat Newcomer Award. The twenty most exciting works will be presented in an exhibition.

Every year, Weltformat Graphic Design Festival presents exciting and surprising designs by young designers as part of Weltformat Newcomer Award. Twenty selected designs are exhibited in public space and the winners of the Newcomer Award and the audience award are announced during the award ceremony on the opening evening of the festival.

The theme of this year's Weltformat Newcomer Award is Still Going Strong – referring to the festival theme Not (Yet) Cancelled. The numerous submissions show why graphic design and the visibility of it are so important – especially in times of uncertainty – and that we are all still here despite, or perhaps because of, extraordinary circumstances. In recent months we have all been confronted with changes, limitations and cancellations. However, the relevance and power of design remain undiminished.

This year, 877 visual interpretations of the theme from 65 countries worldwide have reached the jury of Weltformat Newcomer Award consisting of poster designers and a representative of APG|SGA. The different methods and techniques applied show the diverse approaches of a young generation of visual designers.
