Creative block, blank page, finished studies – now what? How do creative professionals start projects nowadays? Why start a studio, and how do you go about it? These questions will be explored by national and international designers at this year’s symposium themed How to Start. They will share their experiences and insights through short lectures, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. The talks will be held in either German or English.
Symposium
Panel 1
Under the theme How To Start: A Project, Cédric Oppliger of Roli Deluxe kicks things off, discussing the balancing act between self-fulfillment and commissioned work. Next, Kaj Lehmann and Raphael Schoen from zweikommasieben magazine will talk about how to successfully run a magazine over many years and find the common creative thread when everything seems constantly in flux. Closing the first panel, David Liebermann and Jana Reddemann from Liebermann Kiepe Reddemann will provide insights into how collaboration begins and how to get started with web development in a straightforward manner.
