During the four-hour Skills Workshops, participants have the opportunity to strengthen and expand their design skills, regardless of their level of experience – whether they are beginners or experienced professionals.

‹Creative Coding› is the practice of programming for design and art. This workshop provides an introduction to designing with code, randomness, data, and rules. We'll create a 'digital brush,' where a unique generative aesthetic emerges through the interaction of the hand, imported data, and systematically controlled visual parameters. These visualizations can be published online or exported for further editing. We will be using the programming language p5.js, developed by the artist Lauren McCarthy. No prior experience is necessary.
