Supporting Programme 2019

As every year, the exhibitions were accompanied by a varied supporting programme in 2019. During the festival guided tours, award ceremonies, talks and the annual graphic bazaar too place among many other events.

On the day of the opening of Weltformat Graphic Design Festival, a tour and introductions to the individual exhibitions took place. The curators and designers presented their exhibition projects. The opening evening, on which the Weltformat Newcomer Award was presented, was accompanied by Otto, Jürg Lehni's chalk drawing machine. The computer-controlled robot drew large-scale designs on a blackboard at Neubad Pool.

The Essence Graphic Design Award was presented for the first time during Weltformat Graphic Design Festival. Every two years, pioneering works and their creators are awarded the prize.

On the last weekend of the festival, the Grafikbazar took place. In addition to posters and prints, visitors could also purchase fanzines, magazines, books, T-shirts, tote bags and much more.
