This year’s workshops are all about visual experiments at the border between graphic design and art. During three days the workshop leaders will make you leave your comfort zone and show you new ways of designing. In a playful way they’ll broaden your horizon and challenge gridlocked patterns. You will work on your own designs and get profound feedback.

Take the opportunity to meet designers from all over the world during the workshop and the Weltformat Graphic Design Festival. The workshops not only offer valuable inputs and inspiration for your own work but are also a chance to meet, exchange and network.

The Rodina

The Rodina was founded in 2011 by the Czech graphic designers Tereza and Vit Ruller. The Amsterdam-based studio has made a name for itself with its experimental approach. Working across all media and specialised in video, installations and user experience, the duo want to communicate content beyond the surface of design by always adding multiple layers of meaning.

Costs

The three-day workshop costs CHF 120 for professionals and CHF 80 for students. The price includes a Weltformat Graphic Design Festival pass and the admission fee for the symposium with lectures on the Sunday before the beginning of the workshop. Arrival and accommodation

It is worth arriving on the day the festival opens – there will be introductions to the exhibitions and an opening party. On the Sunday before the workshops, The Rodina and Eike König will give an insight into their work at the symposium. The symposium is open to everyone, including those who are not participating in the workshops.

It is possible to stay with private people for the duration of your stay. If you are interested, please contact weltklasse@weltform.at. The workshops take place at Fachklasse Grafik in Lucerne.
