The Rodina from Amsterdam and Eike König are leaders of the Weltformat workshops. In addition, The Rodina will present their exhibition The Chamber of Transformation, which the duo developed for Richard Niessen's Palace of Typographic Masonry, for the first time in Switzerland. The Chamber of Transformation is an installation dedicated to playfulness and experimentation with action elements within graphic design. The exhibition consists of a space that focuses on performance, participation and activity – in the form of a site-specific archive that explores areas ranging from avant-garde typography to contemporary activism. The Rodina (Tereza and Vit Ruller) is a critical design studio with an experimental approach shaped by art and performance. Both in commissioned works and autonomous projects, The Rodina reinterprets a dazzling spectrum of multi-layered meanings far beyond the surface of design. The duo is interested in the interplay of culture, technology and aesthetics.
